Sauerkraut Cake Recipe

1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cocoa powder
1 c. water
8 oz. can sauerkraut - rinsed and drained

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and add vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and cocoa and add to creamed mixture alternatively with water. Stir in sauerkraut. Bake at 350 fro 35 to 40 minutes in a 13 x 9 greased baking pan.

Frost with sour cream chocolate frosting.
