2 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp salt
3/4 cups butter
2 egg yolks
Thick jam or preserves
2 to 3 tbsp cold water
1 egg beaten
1/3 cup finely chopped blanched almonds
Powder sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Measure flour, salt & butter in mixing bowl. Work butter into flour until finely divided as for pie crust. Add egg yolks & water. Mix to a stiff dough. Divide dough into 24 even sized pieces, shape into balls. Roll each ball on floured board into small rounds about 2 1/2" to 3" in diameter. In center of each round place about 1 tsp jam or preserve, fold over and press edges together. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Shape filled rolls into small horns or crescents. Brush each with beaten egg & sprinkle top with almonds.

Bake at 375º for 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from sheet dust with powdered sugar. Cool.
