Ingredients:

Dough
6 cups flour
2 eggs
4 Tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
6 Tbsp Crisco
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 cups milk

Filling Ingredients
2 cans Ceci (chick peas) - drained and mashed
2 bags or square chocolate
5 oz honey
1 small container of citron cut up
Grated orange peel (optional)

Directions:

Dough
Mix all ingredients together and kneed until smooth

Filling
Mix all ingredients together

Roll out small piece of dough until 1/8 inch thick. Put 1 tsp of filling on dough and roll over. Cut and fold edges over to seal and then use a fork to press down edges.

Fry in Crisco – medium temperature – until brown.

Note: For a Rice filling – cook rice then add crushed pineapple, milk, vanilla and raisins
