Sugar Cookies Recipe

2 1/2 c. Flour
1 c. Sugar
2 Eggs
3/4 c. Butter
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Salt

Icing:
2 c. Powdered Sugar
1/2 c. Milk
Food Coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter with sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until fluffy. Add flour, baking powder, and salt gradually to wet ingredients.

Refrigerate at least 1 hour.

Roll out dough onto floured surface, cut cookies and place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375º for 11 minutes. Cool cookies and frost with the icing.

Icing:
Mix powdered sugar with milk, adjusting for spreadability - more milk if mixture is too thick; more powdered sugar if mixture is too thin. Divide icing into bowls and color with food coloring.

Personal Notes:
I use plastic cups for the different colors of icing and plastic knives for spreading - different knife for each color. When I'm finished I can throw it all away.
