5 T. butter
2 1/2 T, vegetable shortening
1 1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup plus two tablespoons milk
1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
mix butter, shortening, brown sugar and milk together in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat(boil approximately 2 1/2 minutes).
Remove from heat and beat in powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth and spreadable. If mixture becomes too stiff to spread easily, add a few drops of milk at a time. If mixture is not stiff enough to spread easily, add a small amount of powdered sugar at a time.
