2 cups sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup crushed pineapple (well drained)
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup raisins (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add unbeaten eggs, one at a time and beat well after adding each one. Add crushed pineapple and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients a small amount at a time, beating until smooth after each addition. Drop on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400º for 10 minutes.
