3 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
4 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
1/2 cup milk
3 tbsp melted shortening (1/2 cup)
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon extract

Directions:
Directions:
Put flour in large bowl. Make a well. Put all other ingredients in well and mix. Form a round ball; add more flour if dough is too soft. Knead dough until well mixed. Cut into small pieces and roll into balls or make into other shape. Grease cookie sheet.

Bake at 350º for 15-20 minutes or until bottoms are slightly browned. Frost when cool.

Option: Roll out like pie crust; fill with preserves and roll up like jelly roll. Slice when cool.
