Chuck Roast
2 tbsp flour
1 can tomatoes or (2 cup fresh)
Shortening
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 tsp chili powder
1 can kidney beans or chili bean soup
1 can mushrooms (optional)
Garlic
Salt & Pepper
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup green peppers
Rice or Mashed potatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Cut out bone & fat from chuck roast. Cut meat into strips. Roll meat in flour - brown. Pour off fat. Add tomatoes, water, onion, & chili powder. Cover & cook on low heat for 1 hour. When meat is tender, add kidney beans (or soup), peppers, and mushrooms. Cook 1/2 hour or until peppers are tender.

Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.
