2 pkg. yeast
1 tsp sugar
c. warm water
1/3 c. sugar
c. shortening
1 egg
1 c. lukewarm water
1 tsp. salt
4 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in c. warm water to which 1 tsp. sugar has been added. Mix shortening and sugar well. Add egg and beat until smooth. Add 1 c. lukewarm water and stir. Stir in yeast mix and salt. Add half of the flour. Beat well. Add rest of flour. Let rise for 2 hours. Punch down and form into bread rolls or sweet rolls; this dough works well for both. Let rise again for 2 hours. Bake at 350 degrees until rolls are brown and well cooked inside.
