3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup sugar
1 cup dark or light corn syrup, as preferred
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 cups chopped pecans
1/2 cup whole pecans
1 9-inch pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
Place crust in 9 inch greased pie plate and freeze while preheating oven to 350º and preparing filling. In a large bowl stir eggs, sugar, corn syrup, butter and vanilla until well blended. Stir in chopped pecans. Pour into frozen pie crust. (Freezing the crust prevents its over-cooking while the filling gets done) Top with whole pecan in decorative pattern. Bake 50-55 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge come out clean. Cool on wire rack.
