1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/3 tea salt
1/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
1 c. mashed bananas
1 c. chopped pecans.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening: add sugar. Cream together well. Add eggs and mix thoroughly. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt together; add alternately with the buttermilk and vanilla. Add bananas and nuts; mix lightly. Pour into well greased 5x9 inch loaf pan. Bake at 325º for 1 hour. Enjoy!
