Crust:
3/4 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. miniature chocolate chips
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugars. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda, add to creamed mixture, and mix well. Fold in chips and nuts. Set aside 1/3 of the dough. Press remaining dough into 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.

Filling:
2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix the ingredients together and spoon over baked crust. Drop teaspoonfuls of reserved dough over filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Cool. Cover and store in refrigerator. Cut into squares.
