2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter softened
1/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (3 1/2 oz.) vanilla flavor instant pudding
2 eggs
1 (12 oz.) package chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 package toffee bits.

Combine flour and baking soda, set aside. Combine butter, sugars, vanilla and pudding mix in large mixer bowl. Beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips, nuts and toffee bits. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 9-10 minutes. Allow to cool slightly on cookie sheets before removing to wire racks to cool.

You can make several types of cookies using this same basic recipe with different flavors of pudding and chips. For example chocolate pudding and peanut butter chips or butterscotch pudding and butterscotch chips. You can also leave the toffee bits out and use white chocolate pudding, white chips and macadamia nuts. You may find many other flavor combinations that you enjoy.
