Directions:
4 level tsp. Knox gelatin
4 c. sugar
1 c. cold water
1 1/2 c. boiling water

Soak gelatin in cold water about 5 minutes. Place sugar and boiling water on fire. When sugar is dissolved, add the soaked gelatin and boil slowly for 15 minutes. Remove from fire and divide into two parts. To one part add 3 tsp. lemon juice and green food coloring. To other part add any flavor desired and red food coloring. Pour into bread pans which have been dipped in cold water the depth of 1 inch or more. When mixture begins to harden a little, press in nuts, dates, or peanuts in straight rows. Let stand overnight, cut and roll in powdered sugar.
