2 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 cup sweet milk
2 T. lard or butter

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt together. Beat egg, add milk, then add to sifted mixture. Add lard or butter last.

Makes 1 1/2 dozen doughnuts.
