3 T. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg
2 c. peeled, diced apples
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. raisins (optional)
Whipped cream or ice cream (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and sugar in large bowl; add egg and beat well. Add flour, soda, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon or nutmeg and mix thoroughly. Add apples, nuts, and raisins. Pour into greased and floured 9x13 inch pan. Bake for 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool and serve with whipped cream, ice cream, or other topping.
