Apple Nut Cake Recipe

3 1/4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. oil
3 eggs
3 apples, sliced thin
1 c. nuts
2 tsp. rum extract (optional)

Sift together dry ingredients, add oil and eggs. Mix well. Add apples, nuts, and extract. Place in cold oven in greased and floured Bundt pan. Turn on oven and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour 20 minutes.

Honey Butter Glaze:
1/4 c. buttermilk
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. oleo
1 T. honey
1/4 tsp. soda

Mix ingredients, bring to boil, continue boiling for 7 minutes. Let cool and pour over cooled cake.
