For dumplings:
One egg
Flour, 3 cups
Little bit of salt
Water, enough to make dough feel like bread dough

For soup:
6 or 7 whole dried anchovies or 1 tablespoon powdered anchovy
Potato, chopped
Carrot, chopped
Spinach or napa cabbage, chopped
Any other green vegetable you like

For garnish:
Soy sauce
Sesame oil
Chopped green onions
Omelet
Roasted seaweed

Dumplings: Knead dough until spongy and does not stick to your hands, about 5 minutes.


Soup: Put enough water to make soup in a pot. Add anchovy and vegetables, bring to boil. Reduce to low heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Then using your thumb and forefinger, tear dough into small pieces and add to soup. Let the pieces of dough simmer for 6-7 minutes (approx.) until cooked. Season soup with soy sauce and sesame oil to taste. Garnish with chopped green onions, thinly sliced omelet, and roasted seaweed.
