2 c elbow macaroni
2 T butter
2 T flour
2 c milk
2 c sharp cheddar cheese,shredded
2 T butter
1 c unseasoned bread crumbs

Preheat oven to 350º
Cook elbow macaroni in salted water per box instructions

Melt butter in 2 qt sauce pan. Add flour and whisk until smooth. Slowly add milk, whisking constantly. Heat until simmering. Remove pan from heat and stir in cheese. Salt to taste. Put in greased casserole dish and mix in drained pasta.
Melt butter 1 T butter in sauce pan and lightly toast bread crumbs. Top casserole with crumbs. Cover and bake 35-40 minutes.
