1/2 cup butter, softened
2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp. minced garlic
1 to 2 tsp. dried basil
1 loaf (1 lb.) unsliced French bread, halved lengthwise

Directions:
Directions:
In a small bowl, combine the first six ingredients; spread over cut sides of bread. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Broil 4-6 in. from the heat for 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned. Cut into 2-in. slices.
