1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 3/4 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
Milk and sliced almonds for topping.

Icing: Mix enough milk and almond extract with powdered sugar to make a consistency of icing.

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter and sugar until smooth. Add egg and extract. Form into 12" long roll. Place onto baking sheet and flatten to 3" wide. Brush with milk, sprinkle with sliced almonds. Bake at 325 degrees until golden brown. Cool slightly;cut diagonally while still a little warm. Drizzle with icing.
