We love steamed broccoli and broccoli salads. However, no one likes the stalks, but I hate to waste them! So now, whenever I prepare broccoli, I cut off the florets and throw the stalks in a freezer bag and put them in the freezer. Once I've collected enough stalks, I cook and puree them for Broccoli Soup! I like tiny bits of broccoli in my soup, so I usually throw in some cut-up florets (fresh or frozen) near the end of the cook time!
