4 T. olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves of garlic, chopped
1/4 c. dried parsley
3 large can tomate triturado (apprx. 6 cups)
3 large cans tomate frito (apprx. 6 cups)
3 bay leaves
1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. packed brown sugar (or molasses)
2 T. dried oregano
2 T. basil
1 tsp. salt
1 c. burgundy wine (adjust seasoning to your liking)
2 lb. hamburger , browned
OR
1 thick bone in pork chop
1 lb. loose Italian sausage ( don't substitute chorizo, it adds a weird flavor)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil in skillet. Chop onion and garlic; add onion to oil and saute until clear, then add the garlic cooking until fragrant. Add the pork chop and brown on both sides. Add the Italian sausage cook till light brown. (or brown hamburger meat)
Add both types of tomato sauce, stir till well mixed. Add the remaining seasonings, sugar/molasses and wine. Simmer over low heat for 3 hours stirring occasionally.
