1 1/2 C. Crisco
3 c. sugar
5 eggs (add one at a time)
3 c. plain flour
1/4 t. salt
1/2 t. Baking Powder
1/2 c. cocoa
1 t. vanilla
1 C. Sweet Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, add sugar; cream until well blended. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add flour with all dry Ingredients sifted together alternate with 1 c. sweet milk. Add vanilla. Pour in tube pan and bake at slow heat (325º)for 1 hour until done.

For sour cream pound cake use 1/2 c milk and 1/2 pt. of sour cream.

Chocolate Cakes are not as moist as plain cakes. I use the milk and sour cream and it makes it moister.
