4 medium cooking apples
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. water
1 c. flour
2/3 c. sugar
1 stick of butter, softened

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375. Cut each apple into four sections. Core and peel. Cut the four sections into slices (about 4 cups). Place slices in 8x8 pan.

Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon, and sprinkle over the apples. Next, pour the water over the apples.

Mix flour, sugar, and butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.

Bake 45 to 50 minutes, or until the apples are soft and the topping is golden brown. Cool for 10 minutes on a wire rack.
