1-1/4 c. (2-1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
4 large garlic cloves, finely chopped
36 thin asparagus spears, ends trimmed, cut diagonally into 1/4" slices (about 3 cups)
1 lemon, cut into wedges
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Grated parmesan

In a large skillet, melt the butter over high heat. As soon as it foams, add the garlic and saute until it turns light golden, about one minute.

Add the asparagus and saute until it is tender-crisp and the garlic is nicely browned, about 4-5 minutes.

Serve immediately over cooked pasta. Squeeze the lemon and add the salt, pepper and parmesan to taste.
