1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. cornmeal
1/4 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2 eggs
1/4 c. shortening
1/4 - 1/2 c. creamed corn
1/2 c. whole corn drained (optional when served as a bread & not used for stuffing)

Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add the milk, eggs and shortening; beat for 1 minute. Pour into a greased 9-in. square baking pan. Bake at 425° F for 20-25 minutes or until bread is golden brown and tests done.
