1 lb. (1/2 kg) of lentils
1 tomato
1 carrot
1 green pepper
1 onion
1 chorizo
1 piece of bacon
1 clove of garlic
salt to taste
1 bayleaf

Directions:
Directions:
Soak the lentils in a pot in water for 15 minutes. In another pot put the rest of the ingredients and enough water to cover them. Cook about 15-20 minutes and then add the lentils (strained). Continue cooking at low heat, stirring occasionally until the lentils are soft (45 minutes more or less). Add more water if necessary. When done, extract the ingredients from the pot, except the lentils and serve these with small pieces of chorizo and carrot.
