1/2 c. sliced almonds
3 T. sugar
1/2 head iceburg lettuce
1/2 head romaine lettuce
1/2 c. chopped celery
canned mandarin oranges, drained

Dressing:
1/2 tsp. salt
dash pepper
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 T. chopped parsley
2 T. vinegar
dash Tabasco (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In pan, saute almonds and sugar over low- medium heat, stirring constantly until almonds are coated and sugar is melted. Watch carefully! Cool. Mix dressing and chill.

Just before serving, toss lettuce, mandarin oranges and almonds and dressing.
