12 med. parsnips, peeled and sliced lengthwise
1/2 c . butter
3 tbsp. brown sugar
3 tbsp wine vinegar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. minced chives
1/4 tsp. basil
salt & pepper
paprika

Directions:
Directions:
Brown on parsnips in butter over moderate heat in skillet, turning occasionally.
Stir in brown sugar, vinegar, dry mustard, chives, basil, salt & pepper. Cover pan, simmer 20 mins, until tender.
Sprinkle with paprika when about to serve.
