Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Carroll Shelby's Chili Kit mix (2)
Shredded turkey (or cooked ground turkey)
2-8 oz. can tomato sauce w/chilies
4-8 oz. cans water
1 can chopped Ortega chilies
1 small onion - diced
1-2 clove garlic - diced
1-2 cans chili beans - amount depends on how much you like beans
1 can Hormel chili (with OR w/o beans)
1 can beer/wine
Fritos
Shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare Carroll Shelby's Chili per instructions, adding above ingredients. I use either a large crock pot OR large soup kettles. If cooking on top of stove, I simmer it for several hours. In a crock pot, cook on low for 5-6 hours. As you can see by the ingredients, this recipe has no hard and fast rules! I DO prefer the shredded turkey to the ground. Just "play" with it ... It is one of the meals I enjoy making the most. When serving, put Fritos in the bottom of the bowl, add the chili and a little cheese on the top!

Personal Notes:
This chili is what my family requests EVERY Christmas Eve. It has evolved into "grabbing what is around" and throwing it in. Experiment ..... Hope you enjoy this as much as my family!
