"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Directions:
Heat oil in a large pot. Add onion, garlic, carrots and celery, and cook until tender. Put garlic in last so it doesn’t burn. (take out of pot.)Brown meat if using. Put the cooked veggies back in the pot.

Add tomatoes, both cans of beans, (all undrained) and then the beef bouillon, the spices, the canned broth, and the water. Simmer for awhile (at least 30 minutes……or longer if you can) and then add the pasta. Cook for twelve minutes (while you make your garlic bread).

**********If you choose not to use meat, you could add an extra can of whatever beans you have…..white, red, black, kidney, garbanzo.

Personal Notes:
This tastes like the Pasta Fagoli soup at the Olive Garden. It is a whole meal with some garlic bread.
