For Crust:
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1-2 T. water

For Filling:
1/2 c. butter
1 c. water
1 c. flour
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. almond extract

Powdered Sugar Frosting:
1 tsp. butter, melted
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 c. powdered sugar
1-2 T. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix crust ingredients as you would for a pie crust. Make into 2 (3" wide") flat strips on a greased cookie sheet.

Prepare filling-heat water and butter to boiling, remove from heat. Add flour and stir until smooth. Stir in eggs, one at a time, and add almond extract. Spread mixture on top of crust strips.

Bake at 350º for 50-60 minutes.

Cool and frost with powdered sugar frosting. May garnish with sliced almonds.
