1/2 kg of chick-peas (garbanzo beans)
1 bone of veal and 1 of pork (ham)
500 gr. of veal (called morcillo)
1 chorizo
1 piece of bacon
1 quarter chicken
1 carrot
1 turnip
1 stalk of celery
noodles for the soup
salt to taste

Soak chick-peas for 12 hours in pot of water. Put in remaining ingredients with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil. Remove foam that forms on the surface. Cook over low heat for 3 hours. Strain the ingredients, and reserve broth. Add the vermicelli noodles (fideos) to the broth and make soup Serve the soup first. Meat and chick-peas will be the main course and if you wish, serve cooked vegetables such as green beans or cabbage with them.
