Apple Delight Recipe

2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup nuts
2 eggs
1/2 cup oil
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 cups raw apples chopped

Sauce recipe--
1/2 cup butter
1 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/2 cup whipping cream
1 cup pecans or walnuts ( optional) if using pecans use roasted.

Mix all of the first group of ingredients except the apples by hand. Add apples and mix with mixer. Pour batter onto greased and floured 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 45 mins.

Topping instructions--
Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in brown sugar and corn syrup. Bring to a boil for one min., stirring constantly. Gradually stir in the whipping cream. Return to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in the pecans.
