Upside Down Apple Cake Recipe

1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar
4 Peeled and sliced apples
1 1/4 Cup of Flour
1/2 Cup of Sugar
2 Tsp of baking powder
1/2 Tsp of salt
1/3 cup of shortening
1/3 cup of milk
1/2 tsp of lemon peel
1 egg

preheat oven: 375

In a 8x8x2 pan

Melt butter and stir in brown sugar, pour into pan, arrange apples over brown sugar mixture.
Sift dry ingredients, add shortening, add milk, lemon peel, egg, and beat two minutes. Pour over apples.

Bake for 45 minutes,
