1 (14 oz.) bottle of Heinz ketchup,
3/4 cup cider vinegar,
1/2 cup sugar,
2 tbsp. chili powder,
1 1/2 tbsp. black pepper,
1 tbsp. salt
1 cup chopped onion,
2 tbsp. minced garlic

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer covered for 3 hours.

I usually double this recipe. It's good on beef, pork or chicken.
