1/2 cup butter
1 cup flour
1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 8-oz. package softened cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
2 8-oz. containers Cool Whip
3-oz. pkg. chocolate instant pudding
3-oz. pkg. instant vanilla pudding
4 cups milk
1 t. vanilla
Grated chocolate and nuts for garnish

Mix butter, flour, and chopped nuts. Pat mixture in 9x 13 pan. Bake @350 for 20 min. Cool.

Mix softened cream cheese with powdered sugar. Fold in 1 8 oz. container Cool Whip. Spread over cooled crust.

Mix the dry chocolate and vanilla puddings with the milk. Add vanilla. Beat with mixer and spread over cheese mixture.

Top with Cool Whip and sprinkle with grated chocolate and nuts. Refrigerate covered.

I think everyone must have this recipe, but it’s a good one for company. For Christmas, I use pistachio pudding and top with maraschino cherries.
