"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3-4 cups cooked, diced chicken
1 1/2 cups cooked, diced carrots
1 T. dried onion flakes
5 tsp. chicken bouillon
10 cups water
2 T. parsley flakes
6 cups Country Pasta homemade style egg pasta noodles
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Cook chicken and carrots. Transfer to big stock pot and add everything else. Cook on medium heat for about 45 min. - one hour. If you want the broth thicker, mash 3 T. flour into one T. butter and stir into soup.

Can add peppers and green onions if desired. Rehydrated dehydrated carrots work well also.

Can also use Shirley J's cream soup base and omit the liquid called for in the recipe.

Because I never use the exact recipe, this turns out different every time but is always a hit. Yummy with soft bread sticks.
