1 c flour
1 c sugar
1 c cornmeal
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 c vegetable oil
1 c milk
2 eggs at room temperature

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven at 400º Fahrenheit.

Mix milk and eggs in a bowl and set aside. In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, cornmeal, baking powder and salt. Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture. Pour the vegetable oil into a cast iron skillet. Coat the bottom and sides of the skillet with oil and pour what remains into the cornbread mixture, mixing well.
Bake approximately 40 minutes until golden brown and a tester comes out clean.
