Directions:
Directions:
Mix pancake mix and half of the milk together. Blend with a mixer until you get a smooth batter. Add second half of milk and eggs and blend until batter is smooth again.
Place pan on stove/fire and add a dab of butter.
Poor some batter into the pan and swirl around a bit until bottom of skillet is covered with batter.
Cook the pancakes on both sides until they are a little golden brown.

Variations: To make variations place topping on batter after first pouring into hot skillet.

Try adding raisins, sautéed apple and cinnamon, bananas sautéed in caramel sauce, cheese, bacon, chopped onions. See notes for favorites.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Dutch pancakes are much thicker and dense than our version her in the states. They also can be savory and not just sweet.
When the Harris family cooks Dutch pancakes they put sautéed chopped onion in the first batch and make a brown gravy to pour over pancake or dip it in. They also like to saute sliced bananas in caramel sauce and top pancake with that and a little whipped cream. These variations are so yummy!
