1/2 c. butter or oleo
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. applesauce
1 c. nuts
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs, sugar, softened butter (or oleo), and applesauce together. Mix dry ingredients; stir into mixture gradually until well blended. Add nuts and raisins last. Pour into greased and floured 11 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350º for 1 hour or until done

This recipe came from Ida Trueblood. She and her husband ran the old Blue Jay Court Motel in Jay for many years (in the 40's and 50's).
