1/2 c shortening
1/2 c granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 egg
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 c Gold Medal Flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 c quick cooking oats
1 cup Wheaties or Total
1/2 c shredded coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375. Mix thoroughly shortening, granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes. Immediately remove from baking sheet to cool.
