Cherry PUdding - Delpha Speak Recipe

2 c sugar
2 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp soda
2 c Cherries with juice
4 T melted shortening
2 eggs

Mix sugar, flour, salt and soda. Mix juice, shortening, eggs, add to flour mixture and fold in cherries. Bake in greased & floured 9x13 pan at 350, 30 to 40 minutes.

Heat together
1 1/4 c boiling water
4 tsp cornstarch
1 c brown sugar
3 T margarine
pinch of salt
Remove from heat, add tsp vanilla, spread on hot pudding. May be served hot or cold.
