1 1/2 cup shortening
2 cups Sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup Light Corn Syrup
3 1/2 cups Flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3 1-onnce square unsweetened baking chocolate, melted

Directions:
Directions:
Mix throughly shortening, sugar and eggs. Add corn syurp and chocolate. Blend well. Stir in flour, soda, cinnamon, salt and vanilla. Chill dough. Roll into 1-inch balls and then in sugar.

Bake at 350º for 12 minutes. Leave on pan to fall before removing.

If you want crunchier cookies bake a couple of minutes longer if you want them chewy bake them only 12 minutes.
I use butter instead of shortening.
