2 1/2 cup flour
1 Tbsp sugar
1 cup margarine
1 egg yolk (save white for top )
plus enough milk to make 2/3 cup.

2 handfuls of cornflake crumbs
6-8 apples, peeled and sliced
1 cup sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 3 ingredients like pastry, add egg yolk to milk . Mix with a fork into dry ingredients. Roll out half of the dough and place into a 12 x 18' cookie sheet - bring it up the sides of the pan. Sprinkle the cornflake crumbs over the pastry. Place apples on top and sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon mix. Cover with remaining rolled out pastry. Beat egg white stiff and brush it on pastry.
Bake at 400º F for 10 minutes, then at 350º F for 50 minutes or till golden brown. When baked make a glaze of 1 cup icing sugar, 1/4 tsp almond flavor and milk - enough to drizzle over the bars .
