2 c sifted flour.
1 tsp salt.
1 3/4 c sugar.
1/2 c sugar.
2 unbeaten eggs.
1/2 c cocoa.
1 c hot, strong, coffee.
1 tsp baking soda.
1/2 c boiling water.

Directions:
Cream sugar, salt and shortening. Add eggs: Mix thoroughly. Dissolve cocoa in coffee. Add to sugar mixture. Stir in flour. Dissolve soda in boiling water and stir in last. Bake 30-35 minutes at 375

I bake this cake in a bundt pan, cool thoroughly, slice in half horizontally, spread with cherry pie filling, replace the top half and top with cherry pie filling and lite whipped topping. Pretty, as well as good! Low fat!
