2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
2 eggs
1 cup bananas, mashed
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 cup pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar & shortening. Add eggs one at a time, beating vigorously after each addition.

Sift all dry ingredients together (flour is sifted before measuring).

Add mashed bananas. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk. Add lemon flavoring.

Fold in pecans after all is mixed well.

Bake 1 hour in moderate oven (350º F).
