3 1/3 C all-purpose flour
2 2/3 C sugar
2/3 C shortening
1 can (16 oz.) pumpkin
4 eggs
2 T baking soda
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp baking powder
2/3 C coarsely chopped walnuts
2/3 C water

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Grease two 9X5X3 inch loaf pans. Mix shortening and sugar in 2 1/2 quart bowl. Stir in pumpkin, water, and eggs. Mix in flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves, and baking powder; stir in walnuts. Pour into pans and bake 60 to 70 minutes. Cool 5 minutes then remove from pans. Cool completely before slicing.
