1/4 soy sauce
1 T. brown sugar
1 (8 oz.) can whole water chestnuts, drained
9-12 thin slices of bacon

Directions:
Directions:
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce and brown sugar until sugar dissolves and mixture is well blended. Stir in water chestnuts and marinate, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 400º. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil to facilitate cleanup. Cut bacon slices crosswise in half. Drain water chesnuts and wrap each in a bacon slice; secure with a toothpick. Arrange on prepared baking sheet and bake until bacon is nicely browned, 15-20 minutes. Drain and serve warm.
